Technological University Dublin believes that the best interest of children, young people and vulnerable persons with whom it engages are paramount and is committed to ensuring the highest possible standards to meet its responsibility to protect and safeguard such persons for whom it has responsibility. 

TU Dublin has a comprehensive policy for the Protection of Children and Vulnerable Adults, which includes provisions for Garda vetting, and is aligned with the Children First National Guidance. The policy emphasises that the best interests of children are paramount and outlines responsibilities for staff and students to safeguard children.
